Websites and patient acquisition for dental clinics

Dental care combines two very different kinds of patient: someone with a toothache who needs an appointment today, and someone considering implants or orthodontic treatment who will compare several clinics for weeks. A dental clinic's website has to serve both — a fast path to an urgent appointment, and detailed, trustworthy information for large treatment decisions.

In short

In short

  1. 01

Urgent patients need a visible phone number, messenger link and today's availability.

  2. 02

Treatment pages for implants, orthodontics, veneers and similar services attract patients who are researching.

  3. 03

Before-and-after cases, shown with patients' consent, are among the strongest trust signals.

  4. 04

Treatment plans that were not accepted need follow-up; many clinics lose these patients silently.

  5. 05

Reviews and a complete maps profile matter enormously for local choice.

Overview

Two patient journeys

Urgent: pain, a broken tooth, swelling. The patient searches "dentist near me" or "emergency dentist Baku", looks at the nearest options on the map and calls or writes. The website must show immediately how to get an appointment today.

Planned: implants, braces or aligners, whitening, veneers, full-mouth treatment. The patient researches methods, compares clinics and doctors, looks for real results and prices, and often asks questions before visiting. The website must answer those questions in depth.

Treatment pages

Each major treatment deserves a page: what it is, who it suits, the stages and their duration, what affects the cost, materials and systems used, aftercare, and frequently asked questions. Prices or starting prices, where the clinic publishes them, reduce uncertainty. Content should be reviewed by the clinic's dentists and avoid promises of guaranteed results.

Doctors and cases

  • Dentist profiles with specialty, education and experience.
  • Clinical cases with photos taken consistently, published only with patient consent and without identifying details beyond what the patient agreed to.
  • Equipment and technology pages, written in terms patients understand.

Booking and follow-up

Online booking or a booking request, WhatsApp as an alternative, and reminders before appointments. See online booking systems.

For planned treatment, the most valuable automation is follow-up: patients who received a treatment plan but did not start it receive a call or message after an agreed time, and the clinic sees how many plans convert. This needs a CRM or a clinic system with a pipeline for treatment plans. See CRM integration.

Local search and reviews

Most dental patients choose among clinics near them. A complete Google Business Profile for each branch — photos, services, hours, booking link — and a steady flow of genuine reviews are essential. Ask patients for reviews after successful treatment; never buy or fabricate them. See local SEO in Baku.

Advertising

Search ads for high-value treatments — implants, braces, veneers — in the languages patients use, leading to the specific treatment page. Meta ads work for awareness and offers such as consultations. Healthcare advertising is subject to platform policies and local rules, so claims must be careful. See Google Ads management.

Patient data

Dental records, photos and X-rays are health data. They belong in the clinic's clinical system with restricted access, not in messenger chats or email. Consent for publishing photos is recorded separately. See personal data law.

What to measure

  • Urgent calls and bookings, by channel.
  • Consultations for planned treatment, and conversion to started treatment.
  • Cost per started treatment for each advertising channel.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can we show before-and-after photos?

Yes, with the patient's written consent, and in line with advertising rules and platform policies. Photos should be genuine and unedited beyond basic corrections.

Should prices for implants be on the website?

Many patients decide which clinics to visit based on price information. Publishing starting prices with an explanation of what affects the final cost is a common compromise.

How do we get more reviews?

Ask at the right moment — after a successful treatment — and make it easy with a direct link. Reply to all reviews, including negative ones, calmly and without disclosing patient details.
