ERP (enterprise resource planning)
ERP — enterprise resource planning — refers to software that manages a company's core operations in one integrated system: accounting and finance, inventory and warehouses, purchasing, sales orders, production, and often HR and payroll. The shared database means that a sale updates stock, accounting and reports automatically.

Explained
ERP in Azerbaijan
Many companies in Azerbaijan use 1C-based systems for accounting, warehouse and trade operations; larger organisations may use international ERP platforms. These systems are usually the master source of products, prices, stock, customers' financial data and invoices.
ERP and other systems
- Website and online store: products, prices and stock come from the ERP; orders go back to it. See 1C integration.
- CRM: manages leads and sales conversations; the ERP handles orders, invoices and payments. See CRM.
- Marketplaces and stores: stock sync from the ERP to every channel. See inventory sync.
- E-invoicing and tax: invoice data and reporting. See e-invoicing (e-qaimə).
Integration principles
- Decide which system is the master for each data type.
- Use APIs, standard exchange formats or an integration layer.
- Log exchanges and alert on failures.
- Involve the ERP specialist for changes inside the ERP.
